Description:

Travel the bike trail into the American River Parkway along the rivers edge. Great bird and wildlife habitat with lots of shade,picnic areas and vista points. Take the 10K route to the Nimbus Fish Hatchery to view the salmon climbing the ladders in the fall as they come to spawn their eggs. Hand feed the fingerlings and visit the museum. Restrooms in the museum open wed thru sun 10-2.

From Folsom, take US-50 W toward Sacramento, exit Sunrise. Turn right on Sunrise. Turn right on Gold Express, then left on Golden Centre Ln to the shopping center. Starbucks is at opposite end of the shopping center, last business on right.
