The Sacramento Walking Sticks have prepared walk directions for over 40 walks. The walk directions are located in a Walk Box at the start point for each walk or bike tour. Some events have pre-registration requirements where participants are asked to contact and register in advance of going to the start point. Others allow you to register at the Start Point.
This web site has Overviews for each of the current YRE, and information on how to get to the Start Point or obtain the pre-registration information. On occasion the Club will host a "Friendship Walk" at one of these locations, but most YRE are available on a year-round "anytime" basis. Check the individual walk overviews for details.
Selecting a walk
The sub-menus below are Overviews for each YRE. Overviews provide you with detailed information including start point directions, distance, difficulty and special programs. You may want to select the walk based on location, distance, rating, special programs, or any combination of the walk's characteristics.
Take a Virtual walk
Photos of the walk are located under the "Photos" menu. We're adding to these galleries all the time, so check back often. If available you can take a virtual walk by reviewing these photographs taken by other walkers. This should give you an idea of what you might see along the way and at different times of the year.
